The morning ceremony begins at 9 a.m. in the Grove. (Inclement weather location: The Pavilion at 9:30 a.m. - no School processional; open seating)
School of Education Ceremony
Our School of Education Commencement will follow the morning ceremony in the Grove-Main Stage. The processional will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m., and candidates for degrees must be present no later than 10:15 a.m.
Where do we line up and what time? Signs for your program area will be posted near the Walk of Champions, which is in front of the Student Union. Staff will be available to assist you in finding your place in the processional line. *Please be present at 10:15 a.m. or immediately following the morning ceremony.
Where do I get my reader's card? If you have already received your "reader's card" please remember to bring it with you. If you do not have a reader's card, they will be distributed to you on site in the line-up. (Note: this is the card you will hand to the faculty reader for your name to be called as you walk across the stage to receive your diploma cover).
Additional Comments: Graduates may want to bring a bottle water to have during the ceremony as it is often hot outside, particularly while you are in your regalia of cap and gown.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the Tad Smith Coliseum at 2:30 p.m. Candidates should be present no later than 1:45 p.m. Look for program signs on the ground floor of Coliseum in graduate seating area.
We look forward to seeing you at Commencement. Congratulations!
