Graduation Day Information
School of Education Graduates & Bachelor of General Studies Graduates,
We look forward to seeing you at Commencement on Saturday, May 11th. Please review the following instructions:
Doctoral Candidate Hooding (Friday, May 10th)
Graduates participating in the morning ceremony should line up in front of the Cochran National Products Center (Pharmacy School) by 8:30 a.m. Faculty will be available to assist you in lining up and during the processional.
School of Education Ceremony
Our School of Education Commencement will follow the morning ceremony in the Grove-Main Stage. The processional will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m., and candidates for degrees must be present no later than 10:15 a.m. Signs for your program area will be posted near the Walk of Champions, which is in front of the Student Union. Staff will be available to assist you in finding your place in the processional line. If you have already received your "reader's card" please remember to bring it with you. If you do not have a reader's card, they will be distributed to you on site in the line-up. (Note: this is the card you will hand to the faculty reader for your name to be called as you walk across the stage to receive your diploma cover).
**Please note: Graduates may want to bring a bottle water to have during the ceremony as it is often hot outside, particularly while you are in your regalia of cap and gown.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the Tad Smith Coliseum at 5 p.m. Candidates should be present no later than 4:15 p.m. Look for program signs around Portal 11 for line up.
We look forward to seeing you at Commencement. Congratulations!
