About Perea Elementary School

Opening in Fall 2018, our new charter school will bring a unique, nationally-acclaimed elementary school model to Memphis. In partnership with the Momentous Institute (Dallas, TX) and Perea Preschool (Memphis, TN), Perea Elementary School will apply thoroughly researched best practice to prepare our students academically, socially, and emotionally for success today and tomorrow. Kindergarten Teacher
We are currently searching for Founding Kindergarten Teachers for the 2018-19 school year. We will use a parallel teaching model with two lead teachers in every classroom. To ensure student success, all Perea Elementary School teachers commit to:

• Rigorously developing our students’ academic skills

• Supporting the school’s unique approach to developing students’ social-

  emotional skills

• Fostering a learning environment that has structure and smiles

• Providing high-quality learning experiences all day, every day

• Making sure that students understand how deeply their teachers care for them

• Listening well to the compliments and concerns of students, parents, and

  community members

• Keeping parents regularly informed about their children’s academic and social-

  emotional progress

• Creating a strong, student-centered relationship between home and school

• Encouraging in-depth parent participation in the life of the school

• Utilizing available resources to help families support each other

  Qualifications

  We are seeking talented, committed, and results-driven teachers who:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement

• Possess a Tennessee Teacher License (or eligibility to obtain one)

• Demonstrate the utmost personal and professional integrity
