Employer: The Sunflower County Freedom Project’s LEAD Center
Location: Sunflower, MS
Website: http://www.sunflowerfreedom.org

Description:

You’d be teaching two courses- one to rock star 7-8th graders and one to curious and intelligent 9- 12th graders.

Your job would be to choose texts, build a curriculum, and teach the classes for 20-25 students total.

Typically our novel studies courses are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Middle school classes meet both days, while high school classes meet only on Tuesdays. Tuesday’s schedule would be from approximately 5:30-7:30 and Thursdays would be from 5:30-7:00 pm. Outside planning time would be needed as well.

We are hoping to begin classes on January 11th and run through the academic semester until the beginning of May. We will take two weeks off in March for our spring break travel and staff vacation.

We are also flexible with our schedule and are willing to work with the right person to make things fit!
