I'm excited to report strides in the quality of our programs at the Ole Miss School of Education.
This summer, our Child Advocacy and Play Therapy Institute launched a one-of-a-kind, online Ed.S. in Play Therapy for mental health professionals. The program meets all requirements to become a Registered Play Therapist. Interest has come from as far away as India and Ireland!

Additionally, 100% of our Principal Corps graduates were hired as K-12 leaders in Mississippi for the third year in a row. Each year, our alumni become award-winning teachers. Thanks to our new online job board, we've helped connect more graduates with their first teaching jobs.
Your generosity enhances our programs. Support education everywhere and thank a teacher today.
Sincerely,
Dr. David Rock

Alumni News: Higher Ed Alumna Named Outstanding Teacher
Higher education alumna Deborah Worley (Ph.D. '08) is the 2012 Outstanding Teacher of the Year at the University of North Dakota College of Education & Human Development.
Worley, an assistant professor of educational leadership, was nominated for the award by her graduate students. Teaching, she explained, became a passion during her studies at Ole Miss. "I hadn't decided on a faculty position when I started my Ph.D.," Worley explained. "I thought I was more interested in institutional research and assessment."
Worley cites UM higher education faculty as some of her most influential mentors. "Deborah brings a high level of structure to the classroom," said Amy Wells Dolan, UM associate dean of education and Worley's dissertation chair. "In many ways she taught me how to add structure to my lessons. As graduate education grows, teachers like Deborah will make an impact."
