February was an exciting month at the School of Education. I'm always impressed by the innovative ways our students, faculty and alumni make a positive difference in and out of the classroom. Today, I'm happy to compliment our Student of the Month Frances "Cookie" Harris. Last December, Cookie spent eight days in Haiti developing educational programs for orphans. Sam Williams Named Teacher Corps Summer School Principal

Education alumnus Sam Williams (M.A., '09, Ed.S. '11) will rejoin UM this summer as principal of the Mississippi Teacher Corps' summer training facility located at Holly Springs High School.
