SOE Immediate Need Scholarship Application

What is the SOE Immediate Need Scholarship?
The School of Education (SOE) Immediate Need Scholarship is intended to provide academic support (e.g. tuition, books/materials, required licensure exams) for students facing critical and unexpected financial hardships which threaten the ability to sustain their enrollment. SOE Immediate Need Scholarships are one-off awards that typically do not renew and are dependent on specific needs of students. SOE Immediate Need Scholarship applications are considered on a rolling basis. Award amounts are typically $250-$1,000 and are determined individually based on student need, academic status, and funds available. Applications request a SOE faculty or staff member reference and require review by the SOE Scholarship Committee in consultation with the Office of Financial Aid. Final approval will be given by the Dean of the School of Education. Faculty and staff members may also submit the application on behalf of a student.Award decisions and subsequent processing through Financial Aid may take up to two weeks.The SOE Immediate Need Scholarship is made possible by private donations from SOE alumni and friends and availability of the SOE Immediate Need Scholarship is dependent on fluctuating demand.
