PDSA Cycle Planning
What is a PDSA Cycle?
A Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycle is four-step process used to test effectiveness of a change idea. PDSA cycles play an integral role in helping the School of Education execute these ideas. Change ideas are created by stakeholders like the University of Mississippi in response to a problem of practice (i.e., chronic absenteeism). PDSA cycles allows for assessment of the effectiveness of a change idea. Building off the work of the Carnegie Foundation, the School of Education uses PDSA cycles to aid in the process of initiating change on a continuous basis.
Through the utilization of PDSA cycles, the School of Education is ensuring that we remain reflective professionals. Faculty and staff are encouraged to utilize PDSA cycles when wanting to create internal change. The purpose of the form below is to document progress and allow for a frame of reference when addressing future change ideas.
