Board of Advisors
Engaging alumni, friends and supporters in furthering the mission and vision of the University of Mississippi School of Education
The purpose of the School of Education Board of Advisors (BOA) is to engage alumni, friends and supporters in furthering the mission and vision of the University of Mississippi School of Education. The Board shall assist the School in accomplishing its mission by:
- Providing advice and counsel to the SOE Deans on the school’s strategic priorities, goals, and performance
- Recognizing school alumni and education practitioners: the BOA will accept, review,
and recommend individual nominations for the SOE Hall of Fame, Practitioners of
Distinction, and Outstanding Educational Service Awards - Facilitating the BOA Grant-Making Initiative and selecting projects to fun
- Engaging in and expanding philanthropic support for the SOE
- Participating in special events hosted by the SOE
