Description:
The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is seeking a Division Director II for the Office of Teaching and Leading, Educator Preparation Division.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of state statutes, State Board regulations related to educator preparation programs, program review and approval; teacher licensure; K-12 requirements; and Title II requirements.
- Communicating both orally and in writing to Deans/Chairs of educator preparation programs and all other stakeholders via workshops/trainings and webinars.
- Provide technical assistance for program review to colleges and universities. Collect, analyze and disseminate data as required by state and federal stature or regulation, or as requested by specific entities (Deans, Professional Review Committee, State Board, Title II, CAEP, etc.), as appropriate.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A Master's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; AND Six (6) years of special experience defined below, two (2) years of which must have been in line or functional
OR
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; AND Seven (7) years of special experience defined below, two (2) years of which must have been in line or functional
administrative or advanced supervision.
